Test Harness

A test harness is a collection of software and test data configured to run a program under varying conditions while automatically executing tests and recording the results.

In practice it combines a test execution engine with a repository of test scripts and stubs/drivers, so a team can run and re-run automated checks consistently without manual setup each time. It is most associated with unit and integration testing, where components must be exercised in isolation.
